John Hope Franklin

John Hope Franklin is the James B. Duke professor emeritus of history at Duke University and for seven years was professor of legal history at the university's law school. He shares, with Princeton historian Yu Ying-shih, the $1 million John W. Kluge Prize for the Study of Humanity for 2006.
