Samhita Mukhopadhyay

Samhita Mukhopadhyay is a 29 year old writer and activist based in San Francisco. She is the Training and Technology Coordinator at Youth Media Council. She has a Bachelors degree in Sociology and Women's Studies from SUNY Albany and a Masters in Women's Studies from San Francisco State (or would have it if she finished her thesis which is focused on blogging and social networking technology and activism). She is on the advisory board at Wiretap Magazine. She has worked as a blog consultant for New American Media, Wiretap and Colorlines. She also currently blogs at Colorlines' blog, Racewire. Samhita's passions are trans-national feminisms, veganism, theories of knowledge production, electronic music and media. She lives in the Mission District and is a reformed party girl.
