"Baracky" is Back...on YouTube

posted by Ari Melber on 08/16/2008 @ 3:04pm

Remember the "Baracky" video that thrilled primary voters? The general election sequel just hit YouTube, and it's even better. Barack is boxing, Hillary is jogging, and Bill even takes a dip in the pool.

The irreverent video also launches tougher attacks on McCain than any of the ads coming out of Chicago -- the sell-out formerly known as maverick is depicted as a dirty fighter and angry sexist. He's probably hoping this film doesn't go viral.

  1. Is there anything that can't be equated to Rocky?

Jesus thought that made McCain look like a doddering old fool. Some of the quotes they chose just sounded like a really old man who couldn't get his thoughts together. I'm not saying that is him that's just what they MADE him sound like.

  2. Perception is everything CCC. Honestly that's my opinion of dear ol' Grandpa. But if he were just a doddering old fool that might be tolerable, but the people supporting Grandpa are the folks who REALLY frighten me. It's obvious that Grandpa is another shadow figure just like Dubya is. Watch for the announcement of his vice, that will tell you the agenda of McCain's supporters right there. Cause if you think that decision is his alone I have one word for you:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Eh that's alright. McCain has reversed on many things and then is flopping back again. He criticized many of Bush's policies that he now supports. He says the country is doing fine but releases commercials saying we aren't. Believe me your candidate is no better. But you can keep trying to convince us that McCain is an angel. We just are all a lot better at seeing through that facade than you are apparently.

  4. I remember a certain Presidential elect saying he was going to run a clan campaign because the American people are sick of resorting to gutter politics. Hmm.

  5. "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." Why can't I get that quote out of my head?

(Oh and before you blast me for getting it wrong, look it up, my rendering is accurate.)

Is there really any question about his agenda? His same people, the same party, the same financial institutions and multinationals-- Globalization, privatization, deregulation, extermination, world domination.

    "run a clan campaign"

    exactly.

    Actually, he doesn't.

HAPP merely takes any attack on McCain and changes the subject to Obama....because very few Repubs actually support McCain, they just oppose Obama.

  9. I'm cool with it....so long as quite a few Demos also oppose Half & Half....not trying to put a damper on your POV or anything, looks like I've got this one righter than you, hehehehehe!!! Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/17/2008 @ 12:25am

    How is it righter?

  10. Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/17/2008 @ 3:17pm

I guess that's righter. But aren't a lot of the right voting AGAINST Obama not FOR McCain. Which means they don't support McCain they just don't want Obama?

This isn't to sound defensive just and honest question.

  12. MASK wants to delude readers here that McCain doesn't have broad "For" support....something I know he doesn't believe in. And even if he does believe his own BS, it only serves notice to just how shaky Magic is in that there are a huge number of people who would vote Against him & `chad' over to McCain.

    Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 12:21am

Well I mean you think about it. Even if a Repub doesn't like their candidate they are voting AGAINST the Demo. That's not a sign of a bad candidate that's just party politics. The far right will always vote AGAINST the left, just like the far left will always vote AGAINST the right.

  13. Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 12:21am

No, no delusion. Look at some numbers you DON'T like, HAPP.

Like a 74% support rate among fundamentalist Christians for McCain....compared to a 90% support rate for Bush twice.

McCain is drawing independents, I wouldn't deny that. But his trouble is in his base and YOU know it because you LISTEN to one of their chief spokesman, Oxy-Rush. The same Rush who said "if either of these two (McCain or Huckabee) get the nomination, the Republican Party will be destroyed."....and who now spends his time mostly attacking Obama, not supporting McCain (whom he hates and who likely hates Rush).

The FRANKGRITS contingent isn't 20%, BTW. It's like 18% and that has fallen consistantly since Hillary dropped out (was originally 35%). It'll fall more unless she suicidally doesn't rally her folks to Obama at the Convention (a HOPE you guys have...but we all know how ephemeral HOPE is, don't we?...heheh)

By Labor Day, the FRANK/PUMA/etc. crowd will be in single digits.

But you carefully avoided not actually refuting the fact that the GOP base does not like John McCain, or atleast doesn't trust him.

After all, when he DOES go "maverick"...it's not to the RIGHT, is it???

  14. Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 11:36am

HAPP, you HOPE that the numbers that are un-important are important and the important ones are un-important.

Balanced against each other, the suspicion and lackluster support for McCain on his Right FAR outweighs your "rescue team" of a few die-hard Hillary'ites or the occasional Naderite on the Left.

Plus, you're in a bit of a dilemma (as I noted) on that socre yourself as a ditto-head. You KNOW that Rush doesn't like McCain (has he stopped mocking Maverick John) and that all Limp-dough does now is attack Obama...NOT support McCain.

Are there many Air America guys out there(what few are left) that were only attacking McCain but who said "If Obama gets the nomination, it'll destroy the Democratic Party"????

Want a scenario? How about a lot of LVLIB types who abandon McCain if he picks a pro-choicer like Tom Ridge? or a "Temple Mormon" like Mitt?

or who think "Let the Commie win. He'll be another Jimmy Carter and we can come back in 2012 with a REAL 'non-Maverick' conservative and win the White House AND Congress back!"?

Those are far more plausible than the Left not turning out for Obama.

  15. Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 5:42pm

People don't know Obama and hence will go with the "safe" choice, even if it means 4 more years of Bush-lite failures.

McCain will never "win" the Presidency....It will be-- Obama wins or Obama loses.

And you and Rush know it ...just can't say it or you admit you guys are playing defense this time around.

    Posted by Maskdelta at 08/18/2008 @ 8:26pm

  16. More specifically, why is it in `battleground' states, McCain is now actually in the lead?

    Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 5:42pm

because people are generally kinda dumb.

    and they've been made afraid.

  17. Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 10:08pm

    people are kinda dumb.

    rush limbaugh, wwe, wonder bread.

    the list is endless.

people are kinda dumb. so if you make them afraid, they will do dumber things.

c'mon happy, you keep telling us we are dumb.

you know exactly what i mean.

    don't play dumb.

  18. yet again".....LOL!!

    Posted by 2HAPPY at 08/18/2008 @ 10:16pm

yesterday, i spent a lot of time reading some of mr mccain's past writings regarding foreign policy.

and now i'm much more worried.

    and i beg that you,

and any other people who read this,

    not vote for mr. mccain.

it seems as if he's memorized notes given to him by an aide, and then interjects clichés about "projecting america's freedom".

it's nonsense and he's not smart enough to see it as such.

    but you are.

  19. ....they are just less well-read, less-educated, or are one-track minded on some issue(s) that is/are really BIG to them......

    exactly,

    dumb.

    hey, i'm a people, too.

  20. mccain truly frightens me.

he just doesn't understand what he talks about.

Posted by frosty zoom at 08/18/2008 @ 11:24pm

  21. see happy,

    calling people dumb was dumb.

    i've proved my point.

    you're right. people aren't dumb.

    sorry, people, i apologize.

HAPP, do you just flush some things down Winston Smith's "memory hole" and pretend they never existed? "Oceania has always been at war with EastAsia"?

and not remember that just a FEW MONTHS AGO, your pal Rush said that if McCain was the nominee it would "destroy the Republican Party"???

Did that just "evaporate" when McCain won the nomination? I mean we all know that Rush is "hardly ever wrong"...so McCain must have changed, huh??? LOL

And if you are going out on this limb of yours and keep saying "Folks love McCain...it's not just 'default' voting against Obama"....if he wins?

You and Rush are in big trouble....because you've just empowered Maverick John to..."go maverick" and you'll have to say "Well, HIS positions ARE the popular ones" and resign yourselves to being in the minority again, even under a Repub Presidency!

You and the Oxy-one really want that???
